As Claudette Thériault, President of the CMA 2019, explained, “To ensure the prosperity of the Congrès mondial acadien, as well as to develop French Canadian culture, we must find new ways to re-enforce young people’s sense of belonging towards their culture. The CMA 2019 and the Jeux de la francophonie canadienne 2017 share many of the same values, and that’s why we are very happy about this partnership.”

Since their creation in Memramcook in 1999, the Canadian Francophone Games’ mission is to maintain and develop the francophone culture in Canada. Organized every three years, it is host to approximately 1,200 participants from across Canada and over 750 volunteers.

The 6th Congrès mondial acadien 2019 will be held from August 10-24, 2019, in Southeast New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island.
