famille avec drapeau webMoncton, January 31, 2019 – Congrès mondial acadien 2019 representatives will travel to Nova Scotia in early February to promote the event and invite people to take part in family reunions.

Yvette Bourque, family reunion coordinator and Justin Mury, director of operations, will hold meetings in four Nova Scotia communities:

• Petit-de-Grat, Isle Madame: February 4 - Centre La Picasse, 6 p.m.
• Chéticamp: February 5 - Centre culturel Les trois Pignons, 6 p.m.
• Par-en-Bas: February 10 - Centre communautaire de Par-en-Bas, 3 p.m.
• Pointe-de-l’Église: February 11 - Théâtre Marc-Lescarbot, Université Ste-Anne, 7 p.m.

Refreshments will be served during the meetings.

There will be a general overview of the Congrès mondial acadien 2019 as well as a presentation on family reunions, which is a significant part of any CMA.

Time has come for families to register if they have not already done so.

“It is important to note that it is not necessary for a family to be from the host areas of Prince Edward Island and Southeastern New Brunswick to organize a reunion,” said CMA 2019 Chair, Claudette Thériault.

The Congrès mondial will be the ultimate Acadian experience of 2019. We will also be celebrating the 25th anniversary of the very first CMA held in 1994 in Southeastern New Brunswick. It will also be the first time that the event is held in Prince Edward Island.
