municipalities. Municipalities unveiled the details on the day that corresponds to their day of activities during the CMA 2019 in August.

During the sixth edition of the CMA, each host municipality will have its special day (see calendar). On that day, most of the activities will be taking place in one or two municipalities. Visitors wanting to take part in as many festivities as possible will be able to follow the CMA’s proposed calendar and participate in several of the organized activities without missing anything.

The programming prepared by municipalities will be rich and diversified, and will feature outdoor family activities, major outdoor shows, Acadian culinary experiences, and celebrations of our local traditions and culture.

“Each municipality has done a remarkable job of showcasing our beautiful host region,” said Claudette Thériault, Chair of the Congrès mondial acadien 2019. “There is something for everyone, and the entire programming ties in well together. It is inspiring to see the enthusiasm and passion shown by our partners in the organization of their day. Everyone wants to see Acadie and the CMA shine.”

Marie-Philippe Bouchard, CEO of TV5 and Unis TV, the official partner of the community days, is proud to work with CMA 2019 to support the participating Acadian communities: “The mission of the Congrès mondial acadien aligns perfectly with Unis TV’s mandate, which is to create ties between Francophones all over Canada. Not only will the community days contribute to the development of these Acadian communities, but it will also allow them to invite people from around the world to learn about their reality, their culture and their Francophonie.”

Note that five host municipalities did not take part in this unveiling, since they will be hosting key events of CMA 2019. Programming for the municipalities of Abram-Village (Opening Day), Miscouche (Commemoration Day for the second
National Acadian Convention), Dieppe (August 15 celebrations) and Shediac (Closing Day) will be announced later, while programming for Moncton was announced on February 25 (Le Show du 25e).

The detailed programming for each municipality can be found at cma2019.ca or by consulting the following document.
