What is the purpose of the pin?

The Congrès mondial acadien 2019 pin is your access pass to the big opening and closing events as well as to the evening shows in the Extrême frontière space in Moncton from August 17 to 23. 

Does the pin include admission to the 25th Anniversary Show?

No. Though the 25th Anniversary Show will open the Extrême frontière event, tickets for this show are being sold separately. 

Does the pin include admission to the community days? 

No. Tickets to community day events are being sold separately from the pin.

Do I need my pin to get in to the big August 15th show in Dieppe? 

No. All of the National Acadian Day celebrations are free!

Do the two versions of the pin give you access to different events? 

No. The Congrès Mondial acadien 2019 gives you a choice of two different pin designs, but they both let you get in to the same events. You just have to choose which one you prefer!

How can I get a CMA 2019 pin? 

You can buy the pin for $20 on our website under ticketing, by going to the CMA 2019’s offices in Moncton, NB (774 Main Street, Suite 110) or in Wellington, PEI (48 Mill Road), or at the major event sites. 

What is the CMA 2019’s refund policy? 

All pins and tickets purchased are non-refundable.

Can I buy a ticket for just one major event or one evening show in the Extrême frontière space?

No. The CMA 2019 pin is being sold for just $20, so if you would only like to participate in one of the major events, you will still have to get the pin. 

Are there sections for people with reduced mobility at the event sites? 

Yes. The CMA 2019 provides areas for people with reduced mobility. 

Can I bring my children to the Congrès mondial acadien 2019?

Of course! Children are welcome at all CMA 2019 events. What’s more, the major event shows and the evening shows at the Extrême frontière space are free for children 11 and under (they don’t need a pin or ticket to get in to the sites).

Are there toilets at the event sites? 

Yes. After you have gone through security, there will be several clearly marked toilets available on site.
 

Can I refill my water bottle at the event sites? 

Yes. There will be clearly marked water stations on several sites, so bring your reusable water bottle!

Can I get to the event sites by bike? 

Yes. The CMA 2019 encourages participants to use active transportation. Other good options include public transport and carpooling.

Are there bank machines at the event sites? 

Yes. All big CMA 2019 events will offer Interac service, credit card payments and cash payments. 

What are you allowed / not allowed to bring to the show sites?

Are chairs allowed at the event sites?  

No, chairs are not allowed at the major event sites or at the Extrême frontière site. 

Will there be seating at the event sites?  

There will be bleachers for people who would like to sit to watch the shows or to take a break, but seats will be limited. 

Will the shows be cancelled if it rains? 

No. The shows will only be cancelled in the event of a lightning storm or if participants’ safety is at risk. Please plan accordingly.
